Your phone or laptop must be on the same network name as the printer. If your home has two WiFi names (one ending in 5G), make sure the device and printer are on the same one. This one detail causes half of all printer confusion.
Turn the printer fully off (some hide a power switch behind a panel — really off), unplug your internet box for 60 seconds, then power the internet box back in and the printer after. Let the printer fully boot before moving on.
On the printer's screen, find Network or Wireless settings and reconnect to your WiFi like it's new. Printers quietly drop their connection after power flickers and never re-announce themselves properly.
On your computer: delete the printer from your printer list, then add it again — it should appear as a fresh discovery and install in a minute.
On the printer maker's app or website, check for updates. Ancient firmware causes maddening dropouts that updates quietly fixed years ago.
